Day 148 – Iran – Kuhpayeh, Esfahan
Cycling out of Esfahan where I stayed the past week to arrange Visa Extension, getting healthy and meet nice People there. On the first KM through the City I was smiling constantly, the wind and feeling of moving forward towards somewhere gave me a flush of happiness in my face.
After I left the City behind me, sat down to look on the map for organising my Evening for Camping possibilities and Food Situation while Eating a delicious Sandwich witch My wonderful Host gave me on the Way. Spend some Minutes to remember about what happened the past seven Days in that City and set my self up for cycling on into a remoter Desert like Plato.
The Legs are spinning light, now 38 KM in the ride I calm down a bit and felt more relaxed when a Conclusion shoots in my brain: “Boy, your Visa extension got the wrong Date! Instead of 30th November I got 31. October written in my Stamp which is the same date my regular Visa is Valid. Today is the 29th“ WTF I looked at it 20 times, made Pictures of that stamp, even put it on an Instagram Story. Sometimes I am Stupid as Sh*t, this is one of the Moments. It was a hussel at the Police Office to get this Stamp in 3 Hours, pushing myself into +10 Offices, organising Forms… short I was confused like hell and it was a big relief to get this Stamp and forgot about it afterwards.
What should I do with 2 Days ahead of Valid Visa? Spontaneous I came up with two Solutions First: Cycle back to Esfahan organising it and start again OR cycle on 280 km towards Yazd next two Days and go to the Police there.
At this Point I was full in Going mode and decided to go on towards Yazd. Ahead would be only one “light“ and long 40 km climb up to 2400 Meter and afterwards 200 KM downhill and flat, so seems possible to achieve. I am on a Schedule now. Happy riding Boy!
This Day I have 2 Hours Sunlight left, so tried to get some Miles in with a short stop for stashing up Food and Water for Camping along the Way. Riding along the Flat Plato I spotted the Walls of an Old Clay house 200m beside the Freeway – Perfect – It’s hard to find a hidden Place in an Area where I can see 10 Km in every Direction what is going on. Things seems going well while enjoying the Sunset and Preparing my Camp for a cold Night.
