Day 155 – Late Night Yazd Bazar

Day 155 – Yazd, Iran

Yazd is a City with their own Rhythm when it comes to opening hours. During my 6 Days here I experienced every Day around afternoon till early evening how the City quite down, Shops are closed, People go home for Lunch or a Nap and the streets are quite empty. Same later in the evening around 10 pm the City got silent again. I LOVE IT.
For my personal taste its perfect, I am able to organise stuff around Noon and get some relaxing time in the afternoon, go out for a second catch of organising in the evening. That’s the other side of Bicycletouring, ones I am in a City I have constantly to do stuff rather than relaxing and just go out for sightseeing so this wandering around the City to sort out my stuff is mostly my sightseeing. This way I am able to experience the authentic Citylive beside the Touristatractions.

Here in Yazd I stayed in a small traditional Guesthouse at the centre, when I read a Message from a French Guy on Instagram. He rode me Hey we are sleeping just some Meters away The Instagram Algorithm showed him my last Post of a Camp were i slept 3 Days ago in the Desert which was just 5km away from his current position. 3 Days later he and a fellow Cyclist arrived in Yazd as well and we met up for a Chat between Bicycletourists.
Surprisingly I found myself with three other Cyclists on the Dining Table in their Restaurant. We shared Stories about Gear, Which country has the most Trash in the nature, Where we got drunk the most (For me Iran), Hotelsituations, What else is going on in a Biketouring Day this went on for 3 Hours, but we easily could spend the hole night talking and joking. Nice to hear was that on Restdays the other guys also are constantly organising rather than Sightseeing, We all had the same situations were the Road just ended and an adventure started because we used the same Navigation app, on and on.

I will see this guys definitely somewhere South because everybody heading towards Oman. Something is going on, right now I know already 10 People are on their way as well. Good times are ahead I thought while wandered back to my guesthouse through the empty Bazar Alley which are feeling very familiar after 5 Days here. Time to move on.
